Born from the love of travel, celebrating life’s little joys and pure creative expression, Vancouver fashion retailer Middle Sister needed a personality to match a strong creator-adventurer archetype. A gestalt bird icon celebrates adventurous spirit while the refined typeface speaks elegance. A soft yet vibrant ballet pink was dedicated as the brand’s signature colour. We hand-rendered three unique patterns, each with a distinct painterly style to adorn each of the brand assets from the interior lining of the shopping bag, the hangtag, business card and gift certificate.
Custom-sized shopping bags in two sizes were created using double-thick paper stock to avoid show-through of the vibrant interior graphics, custom dye dipped handles were created and the logo was foil stamp embossed on the front—all to create an extremely tailored presence.
Hangtag design for fashion retail showcasing custom copper eyelet and matching custom copper safety pin, looped together through a custom dye dipped Pantone cord ordered specially for Middle Sister. The two cards are heavy weighted card stock and when swivelled reveal a sentimental message for the consumer.
Double thick, copper gilded edge business cards. The front displays a tonal animal dot print that was created custom for Middle Sister, adored with a copper foil logo hot stamp.
